Wyanda began her career in education in Hinesville, Georgia. During her 23-year tenure, Wyanda earned her undergraduate degree in Middle Grades education, Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and her Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum Instruction Management & Administration and her Doctoral degree in Reading Education. Wyanda has taught 6th thru 8th grade English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Remedial Reading. Currently, Wyanda holds certifications in Middle Grades Language Arts, Social Studies, Reading, as well as Reading Specialist and Educational Leadership and teaches sixth grade Language Arts for the Liberty County School System.

 

Wyanda began creating art as a therapeutic hobby while caring for her husband. She quickly realized how creating art is relaxing and calming. Her medium of choice is acrylic and oil. Wyanda’s art is currently on display with the Liberty Melting Pot of Art at the Old Liberty County Jail in Hinesville Georgia.

 

From her passion was birthed the Therapeutic Art & Literacy Group, Inc. (TA&L Group). TA&L Group is a is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of indviduals with Art and Literacy.
